A great way to learn more about the history, culture and people of a destination is through its food. Perfect for foodies, join a guide for a walking tour of Cape Town, stopping at various establishments (at least eight) to sample local cuisine. As a private tour, the itinerary can be tailored depending on your culinary preferences.

Cape Point and Peninsula Tour
Full day private tour

Embark on a full day tour of the striking Cape Peninsula, visiting the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, before crossing over to Hout Bay, a quaint village and fishing harbour with magnificent mountains views and beaches. From here, you'll drive to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve via Chapman’s Peak, one of the world’s most breathtaking coastal drives, where you can board a funicular (optional, fees apply) to get to the top of the Peninsula, affording views over False Bay and of the the symbolic meeting point of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. After lunch (not included), continue to Simonstown for a visit to the glorious African penguin breeding colony at Boulders Beach. Then, stop at the world-renowned Kirstenbosch Gardens before arriving back at your hotel.

Get set to cycle gently along the picturesque roads of Franschhoek, meandering past the famous Huguenot Monument to glimpse some of the culture and heritage that has become a part of this small, yet world-famous, town. The tour runs through the lavish vineyards that give Franschhoek its charm, stopping to taste wines from three different estates in the region.

Due to regional climates and wildlife behaviours, South Africa can be enjoyed all year round. The Cape is warm and dry between November and February, when the north is wetter – and great for birding. May to September is generally best for game.
