Abu Camp offers guests a truly unique African safari, with privileged access to the camp's resident family elephant herd; close-up interaction with these magnificent animals provides a fascinating insight into their behaviours. There is other wildlife in abundance, including the Okavango Delta’s big cats and herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope. The main camp area is built on raised wooden decks winding around ebony and sycamore trees, with a prevailing atmosphere reminiscent of an exclusive house party. A well-stocked bar provides cocktails for post-safari sundowners and the main lounge is replete with comfortable antique furnishings and a library of field guides for guests to peruse. There are just six en suite Afro-Bedouin-style tents, featuring elevated private decks, antiques and outdoor copper baths.
