Morning, afternoon and evening game drives invite you to explore the marvellous Moremi in open vehicles. Lion, leopard, buffalo, zebra, giraffe, impala and large herds of elephants are just some of the species that you’re likely to spot as you traverse the reserve’s variety of terrain – from woodland to grassland to floodplains. Offering another perspective to the reserve, walking safaris and bird-watching excursions give you the opportunity for a closer look at the Moremi’s countless bird species, smaller creatures and most intricate eco-systems.

At our featured camps Mombo and Little Mombo, you can meet with experts to learn more about about how both black and white rhinos have been reintroduced into the Moremi Game Reserve, the importance of this and the ongoing efforts to protect these endangered species.

Moremi Game Reserve is a year-round destination; however the most popular time to visit is during the dry season (June to October). Water-levels in the Okavango Delta rise during this time, allowing for excursions on mokoros (traditional dugout canoes) to take place.

Travelling With Children or Without an Adult
