Megève is a wonderfully quaint village in the French Alps, the essence of rustic chic it remains at heart an Haute-Savoie village complete with a weekly local market, locals in the café and horse drawn sleighs to carry visitors around the cobbled streets. It enjoys a beautiful setting beneath Mont Blanc and features over 300 kilometres of marked trails and an extensive terrain for skiers of all levels. It also boasts over ninety restaurants including eight with Michelin stars, and perhaps because of this remains a very French resort with British skiers making up about ten percent of its guests.
