Encounter 400 species of birds, along with frogs and trees that are not found anywhere else in the world. This amazing forest still plays host to undiscovered and newly found species found on Mashpi Reserve. Perhaps, you could be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the reserves stealthy and majestic Cloud Cats, which are in danger of extinction, or examine the forests for the many species of frogs and snakes through the many experiences available with Mashpi Lodge.
One of the easiest ways to survey Mashpi Rainforest Biodiversity Reserve's beauty is by climbing the Observation Tower, which stands at twenty-six metres high and offers a bird's-eye view over the treetops. Visit at dawn or dusk and you may spot anything from a toucan to a raptor. Take a trip on the Dragonfly, a highlight of any trip to Mashpi Lodge, as you board an aerial tram that carries you under, through and over the forest canopy, with incredible views offering a unique insight into this extraordinary ecosystem and where the forest sounds create a symphony. Board the Sky Bike for an exciting way to explore the forest canopy up close, as you pedal at your own pace, crossing a striking gorge and a glistening river flowing beneath you.
