One of the most famous places to ski in the world, this high altitude glacial resort offers outstanding skiing from late November to early May. It is the perfect choice for intermediates and advanced skiers – in fact, not many other resorts can compete with the amount of lift-served off-piste opportunities available. The resort is made up of Val Village, where everyone gathers at night for very lively après-ski and the satellite min-resorts of La Daile and Le Fornet. With neighbouring Tignes, this region is one of Europe’s key winter playgrounds and there’s a huge choice of schools, guides and private instructors.
