ITINERARY EXCURSIONS

Cape Town and Table Mountain
Full Day Tour

The beating heart of South Africa, Cape Town is action-packed, and well worth exploring. Take a cable car to the top of Table Mountain, followed by a short hike, which will allow you to admire the incredible panoramas with a coffee in hand, away from the crowds. Following your descent, wander through the inner city and discover historical sites including Company’s Garden, Green Market Square and St George’s Cathedral. Continue your adventure in Bo-Kaap, with its brightly coloured 17th century houses and cobble stone streets, before ending your day mingling with locals at a rooftop bar or beach club, with sundowners in hand.

Cape Peninsula - Active Adventures
Full Day Tour

A complete contrast to the cosmopolitan city, the Cape Peninsula is bursting with national parks, seaside villages and fishing harbours. Your first stop is Muizenberg’s Surfers Corner, where you’ll immerse yourself in South Africa’s blossoming surf culture, before heading to Kalk Bay to meet the colourful fishing folk in their working harbour. You’ll then head to Simon’s town to a secret beach, where you may bump into a penguin or two! Hit the water for snorkelling or stand-up paddle boarding to get a unique viewpoint on these cheeky creatures (weather permitting). Following your Cape Point visit, hike through Table Mountain National Park to spot species including baboons, tortoises and mountain zebra, before rounding off your day with beer-tasting at a local surfer’s hangout.

Franschhoek Valley Boutique Art & Wine
Full Day Tour

Uncover the very best of Franschhoek’s boutique wine farms and galleries alongside specialist art and wine guide, Dominic Dear. Visit three, exclusive farms to sample their classic whites and full-bodied reds, before attending some of the region’s impressive art galleries. Grande Provence has an extensive selection of artwork along with a renowned sculpture garden, while La Motte plays permanent host to the heritage collection of Jacob Hendrik Pierneef. You’ll also visit Leeu Estates’ vast vineyards, home to life-sized bronze sculptures by Angus Taylor, Deborah Bell, Dylan Lewis and Otto du Plessis.

South African Panorama Walking Tour
Full Day Tour

Following a private transfer from your accommodation, head up the Abel Eramus Pass and through the Strydom Tunnel, climbing the Drakensberg escarpment out of the Low Veld. Your first stop will be the views of the 3 Rondawels, while another short trip down the winding road will see you arrive at another vantage point, where you can enjoy a stop for coffee and pastries. Following your refreshments, take a drive to a beautiful private farm for a relaxed 5km hike to the Farm Falls. Upon arrival, take a dip in the pool before returning to the bush kitchen for a hearty lunch (additional cost) on the riverbank.

BEST TIME TO TRAVEL

Due to regional climates and wildlife behaviours, South Africa can be enjoyed all year round. The Cape is warm and dry between November and February, when the north is wetter – and great for birding. May to September is generally best for game.
