If you’re travelling during the migration season, a full day zebra drive can be arranged, while you’ll also visit the historic San Bushman rock paintings nearby, created over 1,500 years ago and depicting a range of animals.

The UNESCO World Heritage Okavango Delta is a seriously stunning wetland area that is home to some of the world’s most endangered species of large mammal – including cheetah, lion and both white and black rhino. Spot these incredible animals (and many more) on morning and afternoon game drives and bush walks from Sandibe Okavango Safari Lodge, located in a private concession. Cruising gently down the Chobe River between Botswana and Namibia, the luxurious Zambezi Queen offers a luxury hotel experience, as well as wonderful wildlife encounters. Botswana’s dry season is between May and October, when warm sunny days are joined by great game viewing and, surprisingly, high water levels in the Okavango Delta.
