Continue through Islamorada and pause at a beachside café to relax, enjoy a drink or snack, and watch the world go by.

Arrive in Marathon for the next three nights. Check into your accommodation and settle in at your own pace. Spend the afternoon relaxing on Sombrero Beach or Coco Plum Beach, swimming, sunbathing, or strolling along the shoreline. Enjoy dinner at a waterfront café or pause at a scenic spot to watch the sun set over the Keys, with the Seven Mile Bridge providing a stunning backdrop.

Over the next two full days, explore Marathon at your leisure. Browse boutique shops for unique souvenirs and gifts, take to the water with a kayak or paddleboard, or visit the Turtle Hospital to learn about sea turtle rehabilitation. End each day with another tranquil sunset or a relaxed meal by the water, soaking up the effortless island lifestyle.

Marathon – Key West

Take a relaxed drive from Marathon to Key West, a scenic journey of around two hours that showcases the best of the Lower Keys. The Overseas Highway stretches over sparkling waters, connecting islands with breathtaking views at every turn. Stop along the way to capture photos of the Seven Mile Bridge from different angles or pull over at one of the smaller keys to explore charming roadside shops and cafés.

In Big Pine Key keep an eye out for the tiny Key deer, a unique and protected species native to the area. Further along consider a detour to Bahia Honda State Park where powdery white sand beaches meet crystal-clear waters. It’s the perfect place for a swim or simply soaking up the sun.

As you approach Key West the island’s vibrant streets, colourful architecture and lively waterfront set the tone for your stay, offering a blend of culture, history and the laid-back Key West atmosphere.
