Beaver Creek is a prime ski in/ski out resort just ten miles west of sister resort Vail. It exudes an air of sophistication and wealth that is reflected in the superlative standard of its luxury hotels, designer boutiques and a host of art galleries. While Vail is a main game player Beaver Creek is much smaller and quieter and consequently has a more intimate atmosphere that is suited to both families and couples in search of a romantic break. With over 2500 acres of skiable ground to cover, it’s linked on piste, to the nearby hamlets of Bachelor Gulch and Arrowhead, but these are simply outposts of the ski area, providing further slopeside accommodation and should not be considered as separate destination resorts in their own right.
