Family
An enchanting Alpine playground, Vail is a perfect destination for the whole family, while Four Seasons Resort Vail's world-class facilities add that little bit of luxury and elegance. The wonderful Kids For All Seasons childcare programme allows children, aged 5 to 12 years, to join new friends in a number of fun-filled and educational activities - including storytelling, treasure hunts and creating magnets, snow globes and stained-glass kites. Older children can kick back for a break from the slopes at the Teen Centre, boasting a games room, Cyber Cafe and television lounge.
Ski
A valley once hunted by Ute Indians and pioneer hunters, Vail is now the largest ski resort in the USA. Vail is also the world’s most groomed ski region with four daily-groomed terrain parks in its seven-mile vicinity. Skiers have access to seven back bowls and snow boarders have the Golden Peak Terrain Park, amongst others. Here you’ll find a gigantic 425 foot-long Superpipe with fifteen-foot walls. In addition, Vail plays host to over one-hundred dining venues, you can even enjoy dinner whilst sitting on a sleigh if you wish, and with an average of 300 days of annual sunshine you’ll have plenty of opportunity to enjoy mid-ski lunches and hot mugs of cocoa outdoors.
Spa & Wellness
The Alpine Spa at Four Seasons Vail offers an organic-focused menu of treatments to counteract the effects of the high-altitude. Within the spa there are thirteen treatment rooms, two having a whirlpool and cosy fireplace – perfect for couples. There’s also a sauna, steam rooms and additional whirlpools. Definitely try the unique cranial massage and foot therapy which includes a foot-wrap in warm towels infused with pine and juniper oils and an intense head massage - a particularly good treatment if you suffer from high blood pressure or have difficulty with high-altitude locations. In-room spa services can also be requested daily.
The concierge team at Elegant Resorts would be delighted to assist with arrangements for your next luxury ski holiday, including pre-booking equipment and kindergarten places. Lift passes for certain resorts can be booked by us prior to travel, but can also be purchased upon arrival. We strongly recommend securing ski or snowboard tuition (if required) before you travel, whether individual or group lessons are needed. To make the most of the ski school experience, it is essential that pupils are of the same ability-level – otherwise, separate instructors will be required. Please let your Travel Consultant know you wish to have lessons when you make your holiday booking, as they would be pleased to advise you.
