Safari
With a prime location amid the renowned Selous, game drives from the camp are nothing short of spectacular. Head out on the open-sided vehicles, complete with a shaded roof and plugs for keeping your cameras charged and your drinks cool, alongside the camp’s expert guides. Unforgettable animal sightings may include lion, leopard, elephant, giraffe and much more, while the reserve is home to one of Africa’s largest populations of wild dog. To immerse yourself even further into the rugged environment, why not head out on a walking safari, tracking prints on foot and experiencing the intricate workings of the area. Please note that walking safaris are only available to guests over 16 years old.
Hotel Experiences
Boating safaris are also a great way to discover the diverse flora and fauna of the region. Pass hippopotamus and crocodile in the water, while various mammals and bird species come to drink or nest beside the river. A boat safari can be combined with a relaxing afternoon of fishing. Roho ya Selous also offers the option to experience fly camping, in which you camp at a private site deep within the bush with only the light of the stars for a true wilderness adventure.
