Stop between sightings to enjoy a gourmet picnic amid the plains or finish your afternoon game drive with sundowners overlooking the bush. Meanwhile, walking safaris offer a more intimate bush experience, placing you at eye-level with the wildlife. Photography enthusiasts will love the specialist photographic safari (available at an additional cost) in a vehicle equipped with drop-down sides, 360-degree swivel seats, beanbags and camera rests.
Wildlife Encounters
A favourite gathering place for a wealth of wildlife, the camp is surrounded by several natural water sources, making the chances of spotting animals from your tent deck likely. As well as the adrenaline-pumping safari activities, you can meet with a local cheetah researcher to learn more about these endangered big cats and their history in the Eastern Serengeti. What's more, if you visit during November and June, you'll be in with a good chance of spotting the Great Migration of zebra and wildebeest. Thousands of animals make their way to this area to feast on the lush grasses, and Namiri Plains has a front-row seat to the epic natural show.
