A trip on the world-famous Rovos Rail trains is a captivating way to travel in South Africa - whether you're an old Africa hand or discovering the country for the first time; from the grasslands of the gold-rich Highveld, to the haunting barrenness of the Great Karoo, through the spectacular mountain ranges and scenic Winelands to Cape Town. En route, enjoy the luxury of a bygone era, including the most spacious train suites in the world. Think wood-panelling, period Edwardian features and 24-hour butler service, whether in a Pullman Suite, Deluxe Suite with lounge area or a half-carriage Royal Suite, complete with deep-soaking Victorian bath and comfortable wing-backed armchairs.
