Guest accommodation is spread across three areas: the Farmhouse, Garden Cottages and the new Fynbos Cottages. Authentic yet modern, the Farmhouse includes nine one-bedroom suites, each enjoying access to the unique Butterfly Room, outdoor swimming pool and a hot spa area that includes a salt room, sauna and vitality pool as well as a lounge area. Characterised by white-washed walls, hearty fireplaces and elegantly understated interiors, the Garden Cottages comprise six one-bedroom suites, as well as three one-bedroom cottages and four two-bedroomed cottages. The one- and two-bedroom cottages feature a lounge area and contemporary kitchen. The one or two-bedroom Fynbos Cottages enjoy spectacular views over the Drakenstein and Simonsberg mountains. The strong connection between the garden and spa at Babylonstoren is ever present, set amongst an impressive forest of bamboo, with the calming appearance of lush greenery and 'leiwater' channels providing an opulence of tranquillity. Housed in a structure made out of bamboo, there's a gym, spa pool and traditional treatment rooms comprising a hammam and a chill room. The farm is also home to a 'Scented Room' in which you can buy or create your own handmade face and hand creams using locally-sourced ingredients.
Weddings
Babylonstoren is one of the best-preserved Cape Dutch farmyards in the Cape. Its simplicity, style and abundance of nature are the core to any event held at the hotel. There is an option of three beautiful wedding venues, including the Old Cellar, Wheat Barn and White Studio, all delightfully restored Cape farm buildings - revealing whitewashed walls, thatched roofs and ornate gables - providing the perfect environment for a wedding party of up to 100 guests.
