Split Apple Retreat, named after the Split Apple Rock which rises from the sea in the Abel Tasman National Park, is a tranquil place, just a few minutes from the Park. It offers amazing ocean views from each of the three guest suites, which also feature flat-screen television with Apple TV, wireless internet, telephone, motorised blinds and two private decks. The largest suite is spread across two levels and has a separate lounge. With interiors that boast an impressive art and antique collection, guests will enjoy the views both inside and out. Due to the popularity of the resort, we recommend booking more than six months in advance. The entire property can also be booked exclusively by one party, so is ideal for a family gathering. Children over twelve years of age are welcome.

Take a water-taxi from the beach at Split Apple Rock and head towards Abel Tasman National Park for rainforest walks, lagoon swimming and enjoy incredible nature experiences. The park is also famous for its pods of dolphins, seals and penguins. Guests can enjoy boat trips and fishing, beach picnics, or even take to the sky with a scenic helicopter trip. There is also the town of Nelson, located an hour away, which is a nice place to explore.
