Culture & History
Along with the phenomenal safari experience, Elephant Pepper Camp offers a range of fulfilling activities to delve into the experience of this incredible part of the world. Known for their beadwork and bright red shukkas, the Maasai live in harmony with nature and are the camps hosts, with many staff members being Maasai themselves. Welcoming guests into their semi-permanent Mangattas, the Maasai will show you round their home and traditional way of life, whilst selling traditional handicrafts. Activities for children include learning how to throw a rungu and track wildlife within the beautiful camp, and the camp works closely with the local community, offering a wealth of options for getting involved.
Safari
With the outstanding Mara North Conservancy almost to themselves, the safari experience at Elephant Pepper Camp is unique and incredible. All the guides know their backyard intimately, so the game drives and guided walks offer the best of this stunning area. The open game drive vehicles offer incredible views whilst being designed for comfort, offering the perfect view of what is considered the best part of the Maasai Mara. Evening game drives also offer the chance to experience the other world of the reserve, where hunting predators and nocturnal creatures such as aardvarks can be encountered. Guided walks offer a delightful ramble from the camp, providing a tranquil experience of animal tracks, flowers and micro-ecosystems.
Romance
With an intimate and romantic setting, safaris here offer a once-in-a-lifetime experience for couples, with the Honeymoon Suite presenting the perfect private retreat. Exclusive dining can be requested for couples, offering the ultimate romantic setting amid the wildlife and the setting sun.
