Culture & History
This remote corner of Bali is an ideal base to uncover island heritage. The floating palace of Ujung, for example, is a royal residence that has influenced many of the hotel's design elements, while another gem is Tirta Gangga Water Palace with its amazing eleven-tier fountain. In addition, there are two temple treasures called Luhur Lempuyang and Besakih. Elsewhere, sleepy villages that are lost in time nestle amid rice paddies with sacred mountains looming above like guardian angels. Guests can also receive a special blessing from a local priest, encouraging hope, strength and determination.
Luxury Beach
Perched above a scoop of silver sand, Amankila is an idyllic retreat on Bali's undiscovered east coast. The setting is breathtaking, with glorious views over Lombok Strait, rocky cliffs and tropical greenery framing the beach. Thatched bales, piled with comfy cushions, provide luxury relaxation for lazy, sun-kissed days, while the Beach Club has all manner of watersports equipment, such as Hobie Cats and scuba-diving gear. Round off the day on a sunset cruise along the magnificent coastline, or relish a torchlit dinner with your toes in the sand.
Romance
Amankila oozes romantic appeal, with its blissful oceanfront setting, show-stopping terraced swimming pool and ultra-swish suites draped with frangipani. There are fabulous spa treatments, mouthwatering menu selections and beach bales for leisurely lounging by the shore. Beyond the resort grounds is another special bale, capturing views of coast and countryside - a seriously seductive spot for a picnic following a cultural excursion or climb up Mount Agung. Another favourite dining location is on Amankila Beach, Balinese delicacies served by torchlight, tiny waves lapping the shore. This is a dream destination for lovers.
Spa Breaks
Reiki, hypnotherapy, aromatherapy, wraps, rubs. holistic healers will awaken and restore body and senses using natural ingredients. Enjoy traditional Balinese massages and beauty treatments in the spa pavilion or in the privacy of your guest suite. Other options include a hidden away spot amid coconut palms, or on a beach bale perfectly placed to catch cooling sea breezes. Do try Amankila's signature Cinta Therapy for individuals and couples, featuring top-to-toe exfoliation, a rose-scented bath and soothing massage. In addition, different types of yoga classes are available at the beachside pavilion.
Weddings
