Hotel Experiences
As well as the dazzling scenery and marine activities on offer, a stay at The Brando ensures that you learn more about fascinating Polynesian culture. An array of workshops immerses you in the way of life of this brilliant corner of the world – including dance lessons, music lessons, weaving lessons, Pareau tie-dye and Tahitian cuisine demonstrations. In addition, the Explorer Centre houses numerous books and regular lectures on Polynesian culture and history.
Luxury Beach
Boasting dazzling white sands lapped by the turquoise waters of a lagoon, amid an otherwise untouched atoll, The Brando is the ultimate destination for beach paradise. Non-motorised watersports – including stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and Polynesian outrigger canoeing – allow you to explore your spectacular surroundings with no impact on the precious ecosystems. Snorkeling can be enjoyed in the pristine coral garden, while scuba lessons can also be arranged. The perfect backdrop to romance, private dinners can be organised on the beach.
Wildlife Encounters
Committed to both preserving and highlighting the natural beauty and wildlife of the atoll, naturalist guides host various excursions – including a bird discovery tour, a reef quest and an exploration of Motu Onetahi on a dedicated trail. Onsite research scientists are continuously working on new strategies for conservation, and they will be delighted to talk to you about their projects, as well as about the incredible wildlife on and around Tetiaroa – including colourful tropical fish, blacktip sharks, dolphins, sea turtles, a range of seabirds and 38 indigenous plants. The Lagoon School teaches younger guests aged 6 to 12 years old the importance of conservation and sustainable travel.
Spa Breaks
As with every aspect of The Brando, the Varua Te Ora Polynesian Spa lies in harmony with its surroundings, offering a menu of holistic and ancestral Polynesian therapies. Unwind as you absorb views of lush vegetation from the luxurious spa suites, before enjoying the steam bath, waterfall and tea lounge. Yoga can also be enjoyed in a range of beautiful locations.
