Between late August and October the, often elusive, Grizzly Bears descend on Orford River. There is one room available that has been specially adapted for disabled guests. It is the Arbutus Lodge Room (no. 54). This room has the furniture rearranged to enable ease of movement for a wheelchair. The vanity wash basin is set at a lowered height, there are grab bars next to the toilet and in the shower and there is also a shower chair available for use. The room is located next to an lift in order to access the common areas of the hotel easily.
