Luxury Holidays At Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley

Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley is a luxury spa resort located in the Greater Blue Mountains UNESCO World Heritage region, just 190km from Sydney. The resort lies within its own 4,000-acre wildlife and conservation reserve where freestanding guest suites are themed on Australian Federation-style cottages. Each one has a private outdoor deck, garden courtyard and swimming pool, binoculars, two mountain-bikes and modern conveniences. Perfect for lovers of the great outdoors, the resort promises a wealth of outdoor pursuits (such as horse-riding, wildlife safaris and nature walks), plus fascinating historical tours that reveal the history of the picturesque valley from two different perspectives - the indigenous Aborginal people and the eighteenth century Colonial settlers. Wildlife Encounters

If you're a lover of the outdoors and nature, you'll revel in the area's breathtaking natural scenery, enjoying a number of outdoor pursuits, such as horse-riding, nature walks and wildlife safaris. Take the opportunity to participate in protecting the valley and its wildlife through the Conservation in Action programme, a memorable activity as you and your family become part of the 'Wolgan' story. The programme will see you participate in wildlife surveys, test water quality, plant trees, conduct habitat assessments, feral animal monitoring and wombat surveys, and includes the chance to observe kangaroos and other beautiful animals during 'Conservation Hour'.

Culture & History

Unearth the extraordinary heritage of Australia's colonial and industrial past on one of the excellent historical tours. The Colonial Heritage Tour sees you depart from the 1832 Heritage Homestead and Kitchen Garden as guides walk you through this remarkable historic precinct. Guests enjoy stories of a past life and catch a glimpse of the conditions early Australian settlers faced. Alternatively, there's the fascinating private guided tour of Newness Industrial Ruins. Explore a period when heavy industry reigned supreme and many Australians sought to find their fortune in 'black gold' and shale oil.

Spa & Wellness

The hotel's Timeless Spa offers an exclusive selection of treatments and specialist techniques using the 100% natural, chemical-free Sodashi range of products. The outcome is an enhancement of wellness, relaxation and healing. For those guests keen to maintain their exercise regime while on holiday, there is a fully-equipped gym, Jacuzzi, sauna and plunge pool.

Family

The resort is family-friendly and welcomes children of all ages. The valley is a wonderful place for children to discover and learn about nature, and a range of nature-based activities have been developed for children to discover Wolgan Valley and its surrounding area. Families can enjoy mountain-biking, bush arts and crafts, archery, horse-riding and polaris rides, as well as learning about the Aboriginal history and culture.

In Addition

There are a plethora of additional activities* that can be arranged by the resort (at an additional charge), such as fly-fishing, photography expeditions, painting instruction, guided walks, regional food and wine tours, guided mountain-biking trips and 4x4 tours to explore the Blue Mountains.

*Two selected on-site activities (per night stay) are included in the rate. Guests can choose from the signature Wolgan Wildlife Drive, Nocturnal Drive, Aboriginal interpretive tours, Colonial tours, nature walks, and horse-riding experiences.
