So kick off your flip flops and feel the sand between your toes.

The Southern Coast of Sardinia

FORTE VILLAGE

With miles of unspoilt coastline, Sardinia is renowned for beautiful beaches and the most azure waters in the Mediterranean. Along the Southern coast of the island, the beaches are protected by mountains, are never too windy or hot, and have their own individual charm. Chia has a lagoon cut off from the sea by a narrow spit of land, Cala Cipolla is wild and rugged, with dramatic rock formations that plunge into the sea, whilst Tuerredda's fine white sand stretches out to crystal-clear blue waters. The beaches in this region just beg to be explored.

We recommend: Forte Village - it's the perfect place for families to enjoy a fabulous array of activities as well as stunning beaches, which can be accessed aboard the Forte Village private yacht.

Maundays Bay, Anguilla

BELMOND CAP JULUCA

Located near to the south-west tip of Anguilla, the beach at Maundays Bay offers simple perfection. With white-sand shores, sparkling azure waters and a tranquil yet vibrant atmosphere, it's easy to see why this frequently ranks as one of the best beaches in the Caribbean. Whether you sunbathe on the pristine sands, swim in the placid waters of the bay, or explore a reef whilst snorkeling, this beautiful beach will not disappoint. Alternatively, you can visit Maundays Bay at night, to spot the distant twinkling lights of St. Martin on the horizon.

We recommend: Belmond Cap Juluca - located just a moment away from Maundays Bay, at Belmond Cap Juluca, every room is a beachfront haven.

SHUTTERS ON THE BEACH

Located west of Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica beach is an iconic example of the famed Californian beach. This three-mile-long sandy shoreline is perfect for runners, walkers and sunbathers, whilst surfing, swimming, and paddle-boarding are some of the more popular water sports. The Santa Monica Pier is without a doubt the most recognisable feature of this coastal playground, conveniently located next to the Pacific Coast Highway, making it the perfect place to start or finish your Californian Road Trip.

We recommend: Just minutes from the coastline, Shutters on the Beach is Californian comfort at its best.

Teti'aroa, French Polynesia

THE BRANDO

The breathtakingly beautiful Teti'aroa, in French Polynesia, is an atoll composed of twelve small islands, surrounding a sparkling turquoise lagoon. Bordering this lagoon are magical white-sand beaches frequently visited by sea turtles, manta rays and many exotic birds. In 1960, whilst searching the South Pacific for filming locations, Marlon Brando saw Teti'aroa for the first time. He was so taken aback by its beauty, that he made the island his personal retreat. Over the years he welcomed many ecologists and marine biologists to the shores, showing a keen environmental awareness before such things were commonplace. Now home to an exclusive resort which bears his name, The Brando offers carefree luxury amid pristine nature.

We recommend: As the only resort on Teti'aroa, we recommend The Brando for its sustainable, barefoot luxury.
