My Stay at Sea with Explora Journeys

I had the opportunity to embark on a cruise aboard the new EXPLORA I and what an unforgettable weekend it was!
The accommodation on board was incredible - we stayed in the Cove Residence, which came with its own Residence Host and Technogym kit with on-demand classes. Our suite had a stunning terrace space with an ocean view and was filled with thoughtful touches, from a selection of books to a champagne welcome. It truly felt like a home away from home.
Explora Journeys operates at a slower pace than other cruises, allowing for a more relaxed experience. The ship also arrived at the ports at different times to other cruise lines, so it was quiet when we got there. And we had plenty of time to explore each destination.
I couldn't share my experience of this adventure without mentioning the extraordinary sea views that I was treated to throughout. From Sky Bar on 14, a cool sunset bar at the back of the ship, to the views from my terrace, it really made me appreciate the beauty of the ocean.
Discovering the Charm of Mauritius

I had a true taste of Mauritius on my visit to Royal Palm Beachcomber Luxury. From the ocean-view Junior Suite to a fantastic spa massage, it was filled with laid-back luxury and island charm. And the experiences really topped it off, getting to sail on a traditional Mauritian Pirogue boat, hiking up Le Pouce mountain and practicing yoga on the beach at sunset.

My recent island-hopping adventure around Greece was absolutely incredible. My first stop was the enchanting island of Mykonos, where I stayed at Santa Marina, a Luxury Collection Resort, Mykonos. The breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea were a constant reminder of the island's beauty. The hospitality at this resort was just exceptional.
In Crete, I stayed at Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort, Elounda. Here, the exceptional staff made my stay truly memorable. My top experiences had to be the spectacular views of Spinalonga and having a private tour with Georgina Boucci who shared her knowledge of Victoria Hislop's book, The Island.
Magical Moments in the Maldives

My island escape to the recently reopened Six Senses Kanuhura was an absolute dream, from a castaway lunch on a secluded island to an awe-inspiring Turtle Safari which had me surrounded by more turtles than I'd ever seen in the Maldives. And then my meal at The Point was an unforgettable dining experience on the iconic northern beach with an amazing sunset view.

I spent three nights aboard Silver Nova, which felt more like a floating hotel than a ship! My experience featured a fabulous cooking class in the S.A.L.T. Lab, preparing some local fish dishes and I was even given the recipe cards to recreate them at home. S.A.L.T. Kitchen is also one of the ship's main dining venues and was a real treat!
Experiencing Mallorca's Newest Ultra-Luxe Stay

Son Bunyola went above and beyond my expectations. It is an exciting arrival down the twisting mountainside driveway, and after a glass of cava on the terrace we took in the peaceful setting of mountains, vineyards and the ocean behind. We also enjoyed the weekly Spanish night where a guitarist and flamenco dancer kept us entertained throughout dinner.

What an incredible place this is! Palazzo Fiuggi is truly one of the best wellness retreats to open in recent years and I left feeling so much more energised. I love that this is located only one hour from Rome and one hour from Naples so it's the perfect place to combine with other Italian adventures or just enjoy on its own.
My Travels Across Thailand

Chiang Mai is a short flight from Bangkok and a perfect contrast to the frenetic capital. I stayed at Raya Heritage, which had wonderful hospitality and delicious cuisine - the best Pad Thai I've tried! I then travelled to Krabi, for a stay at Rayavadee to explore the three surrounding beaches and lush jungle gardens of this classically Thai resort.

A Gem of Dubai

It's hard to pick a favourite moment from our stay at The Ritz-Carlton Dubai. The beach area is so beautiful - a big stretch of shoreline with views of the iconic Dubai Eye. With Ritz being fairly low-rise, the skyline behind it is fascinating.
A stand-out moment was our dinner at Tamoka, which is The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai's newest restaurant. The food and service were outstanding - we had the Mahi Mahi and the lobster which were both delicious! Then after dinner, we enjoyed a bottle of wine on the beach seating area of the Cana bar with a DJ playing tunes into the evening. Throughout the whole stay, the Club Lounge added that extra luxury with benefits like food and drinks served at different times during the day.
