Standing on a beautiful coastline and overlooked by spectacular mountains, Vancouver is a beautifully scenic city and an urban jewel in Canada’s picturesque crown. It is the core of Greater Vancouver, the third-largest metropolitan area in the country. A luxury holiday can take in the city’s urban splendour and it’s scenic, outdoor offerings, and also include luxury hotel experiences.

Containing an array of neighbourhoods, the city is a richly varied location with numerous activities. Fine dining opportunities can be found throughout, particularly in the Downtown and Harbourfront areas. Enjoy exquisite cuisine accompanied with warm, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere that is as naturally hospitable as the Canadian locals. Luxury shopping is available in many districts, including the popular Robson Street in Downtown, and high-end brands in the Oakridge Fashion Centre. The cities historic flavour originates from the rustic Gastown district, the historic and spiritual origin of Vancouver. Here, you can find the famous statue of ‘Gassy Jack’, considered one of the founders of the city. This is accompanied with classic street gaslamps and many fine bars and restaurants. For those who love the outdoors, the enormous green expanse of Stanley Park is a must, with it’s innumerable scenic walkways and bike trails, and the ten-kilometre-long seawall, which traverses the coastal outer edges of the park. The North Shore area contains the Capilano Suspension Bridge - the world's longest suspension footbridge - from which the fabulous rainforest and towering trees of Capilano Park can be enjoyed. The Grouse Mountain Skyride takes you to a 1,200-metre-high viewpoint above Vancouver, offering stunning views of the city and it’s glorious surrounding area.

Rosewood Hotel Georgia and Shangri-La Hotel, Vancouver are both on the doorstep of Robson Street, Vancouver’s most popular shopping area. For the finest designer fashion brands, head to The Oakridge Centre, an upscale fashion centre that offers the most stylish and sophisticated shopping experience in all of Vancouver. If you are enjoying a luxury family holiday, Granville Island is the perfect destination, with it’s vibrant public market, intriguing boutiques and numerous toy shops in the Kid’s Market.

The striking cityscape can be viewed atop Vancouver Lookout, located in the lovely harbour district and providing excellent 360-degree views from 168 metres high. Harbour cruises are a great way to relax and enjoy the sights of the city and include popular Sunset Dinner Cruises. Chinatown offers varied cultural and culinary delights and is where you will find the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden. Discover the garden’s harmonious mix of plants, water and architecture as you meander along the peaceful paths. World-class art can be enjoyed at Vancouver Art Gallery, located in the heart of Downtown in a stunning heritage building. Great for families, the Vancouver Aquarium is Canada’s largest; featuring Beluga Whales, dolphins and sharks.

Outdoor Pursuits

One of the largest urban parks in North America, Stanley Park is beloved by the city, and is designated a National Historic Site of Canada. Enjoy scenic trees, mountains and water, along with gorgeous beaches and natural adventures. Capilano Park contains the world's longest suspension footbridge, among a stunning rainforest of cultural heritage. Head upwards on the Grouse Mountain Skyride for glorious views of Vancouver and British Colombia’s vistas. For a true escape, the city’s natural parks and surrounding environment offer numerous wildlife opportunities, with bear and whale-watching significant highlights.

Excellent fine dining can be found at our featured hotels, including the elegant Hawksworth restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel Georgia, one of Vancouver’s best. The Pointe Restaurant at The Wickaninnish Inn on Vancouver Island is another excellent choice; it is extremely popular with both non-residents and guests, and offers magnificent Pacific Ocean views.
