Option 1: A Leisurely Lunch At Champers Restaurant & Wine Bar, Followed By Some Sunbathing Champers, located in Skeetes Hill, Christchurch, nestles inside a traditional Barbadian building and enjoys a beautiful cliff top setting overlooking Accra Beach. It’s one of the leading restaurants on the south coast, offering great food using locally-grown and sourced produce, a friendly atmosphere, excellent service, value for money and a vibrant Caribbean décor. Downstairs there is a gazebo dining area and upstairs is an elegant and spacious air-conditioned dining room – both with their own lounge and bar. There is even a dedicated art gallery. For lunch, our team recommends booking a table indoors to keep cool, since the sun shines on the outdoor waterfront deck during the afternoon. Champers is open for lunch every day except Saturday, as well as dinner each day. And, if you would like to make the most of your remaining time on the island enjoying the sun, our team suggests heading to Tiki Bar, which is located a little further down the hill from Champers. You can hire two deck chairs and an umbrella for BDS$60.00 (which is redeemable at the bar) and washrooms are available to freshen up, however there are no shower facilities.

Option 2: Dine At The Crane And Enjoy Resort Facilities Before Your Flight The Crane Resort in St Philip is just a fifteen-minute drive from Grantley Adams International Airport, so is the perfect spot to relax. It’s the oldest resort in the Caribbean and is situated on the soft pink sands of Crane Beach − voted ‘one of the top 10 beaches in the world’ by ‘Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous’. Reservations are not necessary at The Crane, but guests will be charged BDS$25.00 on arrival that is redeemable against food and beverages. The resort has a private residence feel and also boasts a village centre with shops including a duty-free emporium, an art gallery and four restaurants − three of which are open for lunch. L’Azure serves Caribbean and International cuisine, D’Onofrio’s serves Italian dishes (open during the winter season only) and The Carriage House is a poolside bar and grill.

Option 3: Day Room Hire At Hilton Barbados, St Michael If you would like to hire a day room, we recommend Hilton Barbados which is just five minutes from the island’s capital, Bridgetown, and twenty minutes from Grantley Adams International Airport. Located on the tropical peninsula of Needham's Point, this oceanfront property features a sprawling pool complex, three premium tennis courts and a Fitness & Health Centre with spa treatment rooms that overlook Carlisle Bay. For lunch before your flight you can dine at either The Water’s Edge which is an informal dining venue or The Lighthouse Terrace which is open for lunch and dinner with a choice of buffet or à la carte menu options. As a guide, a Hilton Bayview Room starts from US$92.50, plus 18.75%; an Oceanview Room starts from US$97.50, plus 18.75% and an Executive Room starts from US$112.50, plus18.75% − but this is purely a guide and rates are based on occupancy and availability.
