Dining & Gourmet
Housing four exceptional restaurants, a stay at The Gleneagles Hotel guarantees a sensational gastronomic discovery. The only restaurant in Scotland with two Michelin stars and headed by one of Britain's top chefs, Andrew Fairlie offers a unique menu that combines the very best in French and Scottish cooking. Utilising Scotland's seasonal changes, Fairlie embraces game in the autumn, shellfish in the winter, whilst in warmer months, the garden grows 250 types of herbs, vegetables and fruit. The Strathearn offers classical fine dining, The Birnam Brasserie serves the finest French-American dishes, whilst The Dormy restaurant offers unparalleled views of the many golf courses.
A true golfer's paradise, The Gleneagles Hotel boasts a staggering three world-class, 18-hole courses. The King's Course has previously hosted eight Scottish Opens and offers golfers a serious test of ability, whilst the PGA Centenary Course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, is one of the longest in inland Scotland, annually hosting the Jonnie Walker Classic. The Queen's Course boasts a picturesque woodland setting and suits all levels, whilst for a quick game or warm up, The Par 3 Wee Course, of nine holes, is ideal. In addition, the renowned PGA Golf Academy offers practice facilities, lessons and demonstration days.
The Gleneagles Hotel is a truly romantic, rural setting for your perfect wedding. The hotel's staff are on hand to organise every aspect of your special day including floral arrangements, catering, transport, entertainment and photography in the stunning grounds of the estate. The professional team can also arrange for you to say your vows in a function room or suite at the hotel or even in a local church or cathedral.
Family-friendly areas and an endless supply of activities to suit all ages, make this the perfect family playground. Children can choose from activities such as miniature off-road driving, falconry, horse riding and golf, to playing with the PS3 and various other games and toys, or just chilling out with the other children. There are carefully planned children's menus, and a playroom with trained childminders for younger children. The Zone is a cool hangout for teens featuring giant beanbags, table football, pool and more. Older children can even learn how to train a gundog at The Gundog School.
