After visiting Wat Pho and the Reclining Buddha, as well as several other points of interest, the tour ends with a classic mahogany motorboat ride down the mighty Chao Phraya River. This full-day tour invites you to discover the gems of Bangkok by various transportation options, offering an authentic experience while avoiding urban road traffic and supporting local businesses. Traditional three-wheeled tuk tuks, the sleek SkyTrain and multiple boats are how you’ll travel, including a classic mahogany Hacker Craft motorboat.

Ancient Ayutthaya
Full Day Tour

The ancient Siamese capital of Ayutthaya was the crowning glory of the kingdom for hundreds of years. Though widely destroyed by a Burmese army in 1767, a vast array of temple ruins remain at the site, around a one-and-a-half drive from Bangkok. A private road vehicle will take you around the fascinating spots, with the option to explore partly by bicycle. After lunch at a riverside restaurant, a longtail boat ride concludes the tour, before heading back to Bangkok. Modest dress – with shoulders and knees covered – is recommended for visiting the Buddhist site.

Join local culinary expert Chef Pui (who runs her own Thai cooking school) to sample a range of local delicacies across town – from classic noodles and sweet satay, to an ancient shaved-ice dessert.

October to March is when these areas experience the least rainfall and most pleasant temperatures. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Khao Sok rainforest experiences rainfall throughout the year, though this only adds to the atmosphere and experience.
