Evening Tuk Tuk Tour (Approximately 6-11pm)

With an expert guide, jump into an iconic tuk tuk and experience the bustling atmosphere of Bangkok after dark. After a light Thai dinner, get set to explore the quirky mixology bars on the edge of Chinatown. These hip bars are located in restored shophouses that have been passed down through generations, combining contemporary cocktails, interiors and music with traditional Thai culture.

Using various forms of Bangkok’s efficient public transport, join an engaging guide as you discover some of the city’s most magnificent sights. The tour begins at the City Pillar Shrine, the very first construction by King Rama I when he established Siam’s new capital of Bangkok, before passing Wat Pho and the Reclining Buddha. Other highlights include sampling sancks at Bangkok’s oldest market, Tha Thien, and a short ferry ride across to Wat Arun.

Anantara Resort Golden Triangle is home to an award-winning elephant camp, housing animals that have been rescued primarily from illegal logging camps, the street or entertainment shows. Walk and interact with the elephants and their mahouts as you meander through the forest, observing how they behave and learning more about the spectacular species. Matching their enormous appetite with a cheeky, fun loving character, there's nothing more joyful than watching as they wallow in the mud. Note: this programme does not include riding the elephants.

Road Trip from the Golden Triangle to Chiang Mai
Full Day Transfer/Excursion

Much more than just a means of getting to your next destination, this transfer is an unforgettable experience in itself, taking you from the Golden Triangle along the most scenic route beside the Thai-Myanmar border. After around two hours, you’ll take a short detour to a remote Lahu hilltribe village to enjoy a traditionally prepared meal, made by the freshest local ingredients and eaten using bamboo bowls and utensils. Explore the grounds of Wat Chedi Luang, the first temple in Chiang Mai, as well as the charming streets of the Old City.

Full Day Tour

While based in Chiang Mai, head out of the city into the enchanting countryside to drive your own traditionally Thai tuk tuk, following a one-hour training course in a safe area away from the roads. Pass farming villages and hamlets, before a stop at a sustainable elephant camp, the Mae Wang Elephant Home, where you can bathe with these gorgeous gentle giants in the local river – strictly no riding! After a delicious lunch, glide along the river gently by authentic bamboo raft, before returning back into town. Please note that tuk tuk drivers must be over 18 years old and have a valid manual driver’s license. It is up to the discretion of the Tuk Tuk Club staff to determine if you are fit to drive following the one-hour driver training. Even if you are not self-driving the tuk tuks, this is an enriching experience and truly unique way to see rural Northern Thailand.

Enjoy the ultimate romantic experience as you head to the Jungle Club Boutique Resort for dinner, one of Samui’s best kept secrets.
