Transfer to Civitavecchia

Transfer from your hotel to Riva di Traiano harbour in Civitavecchia, where you will pick up your Ferrari.

Follow the Mille Miglia Route

Having arrived at the harbour of Riva di Traiano in Civitavecchia, be welcomed with an aperitif in the exclusive Sporting Yacht club, before being taken to your Ferrari car. You will receive a thorough briefing from your dedicated Tour Director, who will introduce you to the world of Ferrari and share his expert knowledge on the finer details of the controls, the difference between the various models and how to handle the F1 paddle-gear shifting behind the steering wheel.

After a short practice-drive, it is time to hit the road. Take on the mythical Mille Miglia, the birthplace of Brescia’s passion for motor-racing, and breeze past Tarquinia and Viterbo, stopping in Bolsena for lunch, before continuing on to Acquapendente and Radicofani. Led by the Tour Director, driving his own Alfa Romeo Giulia (which is constantly in touch via mobile radio system), spend the morning discovering the breathtaking panoramas of the rolling Italian landscape, sweeping along the curves in the road for the ultimate driving pleasure. Stop for lunch in Bolsena and savour beautiful views over the lake before continuing on with your journey.

Drive to Pienza

Continue on in your Ferrari to Pienza.

After lunch, continue on your second day of the tour with a stop in Pienza, the birthplace of Pope Pius II, who was inspired to transform the village into what he considered to be a utopia of Classical times. Here, the UNESCO-listed town is said to be one of the finest examples of Renaissance architecture with beautiful landmarks, such as its towering white-stone cathedral, along with Palazzo Piccolomini, created by Classical sculptor and architect Bernardo Rossellino, and Palazzo Borgia, home to the Museo Diocesano, where an important collection of artworks and religious artefacts are preserved for modern day appreciation.

Drive to San Casciano dei Bagni

Drive in your Ferrari to your next stop, where you will stay for the second night of your journey.

Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa

When you have finished exploring the charms of Pienza, continue on in your Ferrari to Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa, where you will check in for your second night in Italy. Originally built as a renaissance palace for the Grand Duke Ferdinando I de’ Medici, this exquisite resort is an exceptional place to unwind and recharge, with a breathtaking location overlooking the natural hot springs. An indulgent offering of panoramic pools, hot tubs and pampering treatment rooms fully embrace their spectacular surroundings, utilising mineral-rich waters and the restorative power of nature to inspire a genuine sense of therapeutic healing.

Lovingly restored to its former beauty, the richly decorated guestrooms boast breathtaking views over the lyrical landscape of Tuscany and the hills of Siena. After taking a short rest, it’s time for dinner. Ferdinando I, the restaurant at Hotel Fonteverde Tuscan Resort & Spa, serves excellent Tuscan cuisine, created by the Master Chef, Salvatore Quarto. In a charming and elegant atmosphere, irresistible Mediterranean flavours and authentic recipes comprise a menu that is both nutritional and satisfying.

Drive to Siena

After a restful evening, followed by breakfast in the hotel, return to your Ferrari and depart for your first stop of the day, Siena.

Arrive in Siena, Italy’s finest Medieval city, and enjoy your free time to explore it. Infamous for its hosting of the Palio horse race, a twice-yearly event dating back to the 17th Century that sees a selection of horses race through the streets, the beautifully preserved gothic architecture and UNESCO-listed buildings make it an essential stop for anybody passing through Tuscany.

While other Italian cities impress with Renaissance splendour, Siena’s charm lies in its sleepy character and ochre-coloured streets. The heart of the city is the central piazza, Il Campo; the red-brick social hub makes a perfect spot for people watching over a cappuccino or enjoying an evening aperitif. Il Campo is dominated by the Torre del Mangia tower, standing at almost one-hundred meters in height – climb the four-hundred steps to the top and be rewarded by the best view over the city below. You also must admire the magnificent Fonte Gaia, the largest fountain in the city. The water that flows from it still travels through the mediaeval passages that carry water from the countryside some twenty-five kilometres away.

In a Piazza above Il Campo, stop to see Siena Cathedral, a spectacularly gothic white marble masterpiece with elaborate interiors featuring invaluable treasures by Pisano, Donatello and Michelangelo, plus frescoes by Pinturicchio. As you would expect of such a historic and richly cultural city, there is also a substantial number of museums to visit, filled with collections of prestigious works of fine art and fascinating historical relics – see one of the best painting collections at the Museo Civico or Pinacteca Nazionale.

Continue along the Mille Miglia to Florence.
