ITINERARY DETAILS

    DAY 1-2 DETAILS ACCOMMODATION

    After arriving at the airport in Sri Lanka you will be met by a representative who will escort you through immigrations and you will be shown to the Silk Route arrival lounge of the Bandaranyake International Airport. You will then leave and head to your luxury hotel in Kandy where you will unwind and spend the rest of your day at leisure.The following day, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya with a local host , exploring one of the largest botanical gardens in Sri Lanka. End your day with walk on small lanes and back roads to discover the heritage of Kandy through its people, who carry on the traditions of the Kandyan Kingdom. From the keeper of a Buddhist temple, to a lady selling coconuts and several small mom and pop cottage industries.

You will visit a plantation, and observe how the plant is grown and harvested before travelling to a factory, and learning about the whole tea processing procedure and how different types of teas are created. Spend the afternoon enjoying everything your accommodation offers, from scenic walking trails and mountain biking to spa treatments and luxury baths.

This is also one of the best places in the country to see wild elephant, and the rare Sri Lankan Leopard, having one of the highest Leopard densities in the world
