Six Senses Zighy Bay is cooking up a tasty start to 2016, welcoming guest chef Adam Liston to their signature restaurant, Sense on the Edge, for an exclusive collaboration with their own Chef de Cuisine, Ron McKinlay, taking place on 22nd and 23rd January 2016.
Sense on the Edge is the resort’s mountaintop, contemporary fine dining restaurant, a firm favourite of many guests due to its striking location. Set almost three-hundred metres high and offering breathtaking views down the valley to the waterfront below, the ambience is truly unique, as the rugged beauty of Oman is savoured over a candle lit dinner. Already impressive in its fare, which includes a weekly special lobster menu, under the guidance of McKinlay’s Michelin-trained eye, the collaboration hopes to combine both chefs’ unique skill sets to provide a truly unforgettable dining experience.
Guest chef, Adam Liston, joins Six Senses from Northern Light Restaurant in Melbourne, where he was instrumental in helping the restaurant become one of the Australian city’s top up-and-coming food venues. With a strong Asian influence, inspired by classical techniques picked up during his time spent working in Shanghai, he also specialises in yakitori (Japanese skewered chicken) and incorporates exciting ingredients into his dishes, such as the vibrant, Oriental flavours of wakame, kombu, yuzu and laver.
Combined with Ron McKinley’s modern French cuisine and the restaurant’s spectacular location, the collaborated menu is expected to be a huge success, and, due to high demand, advance booking is strongly recommended.
