The main focus of the renovation project has been the upgrading of accommodation facilities and the addition of a brand new category the Ocean Suites. Re-furbished with the finest of materials, including grey marble veined with gold, oak, walnut, brass and natural stones whilst embroidered silk and linen and even colourful velvets carefully selected from prestigious French suppliers like Pierre Frey, Fadini Borghi, Nobilis or Casamance – the overall effect is of timeless elegance and luxurious comfort.
Another new addition, this time to the fine dining experience is La Brezza. Previously the Natureaty Restaurant, La Brezza, is a trattoria/restaurant run by the Italian chef, Alessandro Morino – whose wholesome dishes are emphasised by their simplicity. Meals include antipasti, a variety of pastas and the homely and tasty risotto all accompanied, of course, by some wonderful Italian wines. The open kitchen provides a wonderful perspective of the entire culinary process from Chef to table.
Guests will be further delighted by the Royal Princess, a floating suite providing sea enthusiasts with a unique chance to cast off for an astounding sailing adventure through the clear blue waters around Mauritius. The crewed luxury yacht blends the utmost in cruising indulgence with the distinctive sophistication and flawless service of the Royal Palm and can be chartered for a day, a sun-downer cruise or an overnight trip.
Other new features include a new 25-metre heated pool (in addition to the two existing pools), a new reception area and a completely refurbished bar and a greater sense of privacy throughout, from the surroundings of the various ponds and swimming pools to the restaurants or the hushed atmosphere of the spa.
