Inspired by the shape of a Ravenala Tree, the terminal fans out to provide a host of modern amenities that are particularly beneficial to Air Mauritius passengers, including twenty-five dedicated check-in desks in the main hall. There are also six kiosks especially for passengers who have checked in online and don’t have luggage, dedicated departure counters for premium passengers and more immigration checkpoints in arrivals and departures, all helping to speed passengers through the airport’s formalities. Departing passengers can then relax in the extensive main lounge area, peruse the duty-free shops or visit the restaurants.
If you’re an Air Mauritius Business Class passenger (or hold a kestrelflyer gold card) you can enjoy relaxing in the luxurious Amédée Maingard Lounge. It’s spread out over two floors and both levels offer their guests a selection of newspapers and magazines and state-of-the-art amenities, including flat-screen television with satellite channels, a business corner with high-speed internet connection and complimentary wi-fi, International cuisine at the bar and buffet area, and showers. The lounge also caters for passengers with reduced mobility and for families, with baby changing facilities and a children’s play area. You’ll find the lounge after Security, past the Mauritius Duty Free Shop and on the right.
