Safari
Game-drives and bush walks are popular ways to explore this untamed wilderness, with the chance to track animals and get close to creatures big and small. There will also be a few surprises – for example, an afternoon’s fishing might bring you hippos as unexpected company.
Photo Safari
The right light, the right angle, that perfect shot. Our featured lodge offers Private Photo Safaris, an exciting opportunity for anyone with a passion for photography and nature. A professional wildlife photographer acts as ranger and tutor, revealing knowledge of this specialist field and giving you the chance to capture action shots out in the bush.
Art Safari
Brush up on your painting skills at Makanyi Private Game Lodge on an Art Safari, led by a celebrated local artist. Using pastel and graphite pencils ensures exceptional detailing; the result a mirror image of the real thing, whether it be a bird, an elephant or a tree. Look at the landscapes, the flora and fauna; discuss texture, tone, perspective and light. It’s an exclusive chance to create a personal masterpiece to treasure forever.
Adventure and Sightseeing
Whiz by zip-line across the Sabie River Valley, or over the mammoth-sized and astonishingly beautiful Blyde River Canyon by helicopter or light aircraft. Meet endangered species and injured animals at Moholoholo, a wonderful rehabilitation centre. Buy handmade keepsakes from the lovable Shangaan tribe, or exquisite silks from a local silk farm. Or travel to far-flung corners of the province and discover World Heritage Sites, open-air museums and other cultural attractions.

Please contact the relevant Embassy for the county you are travelling to for further information.
