Added to the UNESCO World Heritage list in 2011, the captivating West Lake is surrounded on three sides by gentle hills, its shores presenting countless scenes of bridges, pavilions, gardens, pagodas, and ancient causeways. Explore a masterpiece of ancient Chinese architecture, built to ward off the spirits responsible for flooding, Six Harmonies Pagoda, or discover Lingyin Temple, one of China's largest and wealthiest Buddhist sites. For a taste of authentic China, embark on the fascinating Dragon Well Tea Plantation Walk, or visit the city's Ha Fang Street - boasting centuries-old shops, it epitomises ancient Hangzhou.

Spa & Wellness
The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake is superb and is where guests can enjoy a comprehensive menu of Asian spa treatments, across eleven treatment rooms, from 10am until 10pm daily. Products and services are totally luxurious, with herbal bathing, full-body exfoliation and perfumed water rituals on offer, while hydrotherapy plays a big part in your spa experience. Other treatments include white china-clay wraps and various steam remedies using herbal ingredients.
As always, children are made very welcome at Four Seasons Hotel Hangzhou at West Lake and the Concierge will be more than happy to advise families on city attractions and lakeside activities that they may enjoy. In-room films can be requested and children can use both swimming pools – those under twelve years of age must be supervised by an adult. However, this is a very secluded, tranquil resort, a fair distance from Hangzhou itself and situated on the quietest bank of West Lake, so it may not be suitable for guests who require non-stop entertainment.
Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available in the Grand Premier King Size category and have wider doors, lowered peepholes, lowered light switches, grab bars for the bathtub and toilet and roll-in showers. Common areas are accessible by wheelchair.
