Chiva-Som, one of Thailand’s most iconic spa and wellness havens, is proud to unveil the finished result of its first phase of resort-wide renovations. A total of twenty-three newly designed rooms and a number of suite renovations, including the most prestigious Leelawdee Suite, have been revealed, all completed under the expert guidance of world-renowned US architect, Ed Tuttle, known for his work on high-profile properties across Asia, Europe and the United States.
The renovations come as the resort looks forward to celebrating its twenty-first year in operation in 2016, a coming-of-age occasion that is now marked by these fabulously grown-up accommodations. Lighter, brighter and larger, the décor elegantly combines Tuttle’s signature style of cool, clean and contemporary lines with a sense of pared-down luxurious Thai royalty. A palette of gold and ivory, enriched with plush fabric and natural wood trimmings, works well to complement the beautiful Gulf of Thailand surroundings, a key underpin to the therapeutic philosophy of Chiva-Som that aims to help guests rejuvenate mind, body and spirit by harnessing the tranquillity of its unblemished beachfront environment.
General Manager, Sheila McCann, commented that she is delighted with the standard of the new rooms, and looks forward to further developments in the years to come. With two decades already under its belt as one of the leading wellness resorts in Thailand, recognised by industry experts for its experience and knowledge in combining Western spa practices with Eastern philosophies, Chiva-Som’s future looks bright as improvements continue to secure its place among the finest spas in East Asia. Located in the beautiful area of Hua Hin, a three hour drive from the capital, Bangkok, Chiva-Som makes an excellent end to a city break, and all new rooms and suites are available to book now.
