Cosmopolitan, contemporary and characterful, Grand Cayman is a perhaps more polished alternative to the other, more rustic isles in the Caribbean; think more along the lines of Miami or Mexico. As such, the beaches are truly spectacular here, boasting miles of soft golden sand, crystal-clear water, plenty of watersports, boat trips, and a selection of upscale boutiques and restaurants.

The colourful capital of George Town is a great destination for duty-free, designer shopping, while also housing the informative Cayman Isands National Museum, featuring a variety of exhibitions on local history, culture and wildlife. Indeed, the island is abundant in fascinating wildlife, both on land and at sea - including the Blue Iguana, an incredible species that is endemic only to these islands.

Wildlife Encounters

A great activity for all ages, Stingray City is a series of shallow sandbars that are home to a group of friendly southern Atlantic stingrays. A selection of tours allow you to feed and swim with the rays. Our experts recommend going early in the day for the least crowds. What's more, Grand Cayman is the only place on the planet that naturally houses the incredible Blue Iguana; get closer to these fascinating creatures and learn more about the importance of their conservation at their dedicated sanctuary on the island.

Bioluminsecent Kayaking at Night

For a truly unique experience, why not try a famed Bioluminsecent Tour? On this unforgettable activity, you'll glide in a kayak at moonlight over millions of glowing plankton. This unique species resembles 'living lights', creating an experience pretty close to magic.

Marine Adventures

The warm waters around Grand Cayman are among the clearest and most alluring in the Caribbean, playing host to a range of adventures and activities to enhance your luxury holiday. The snorkelling and diving is incredible, with the nearby coral reefs teeming with a colourful array of fascinating marine life. If diving isn't for you but you'd love to explore the kingdom that lies beneath the Caribbean Sea, simply hop aboard the cutting-edge Atlantis submarine, the only one of its kind in the Caymans. Head down 100 feet, coming face-to-face with the magnificent coral and the fish that call it home.
