A crewed luxury yacht charter in the Caribbean allows passengers an incredible amount of freedom and relaxation – with a dash of adventure, thrown in for good measure. One of the main advantages of yacht charter is the flexibility it offers as well as opportunities to see unspoiled, off-the-beaten-track bays and places of the utmost beauty. Another reason is the crew – who are both discreet and observant enough to know when you need them and when you don’t. They can also suggest appropriate changes to your itinerary based on your choice of activities and the places you’ve enjoyed visiting the most. This, alongside a variety of activities that include snorkelling, kayaking around beautiful bays, fishing, water-skiing and scuba-diving and opportunities to swim in tranquil waters, sunbathe, relax in a hammock admiring the scenery, also makes it the perfect choice for groups of friends or families – because everyone can find something to do, that suits them. And, after a busy (or relaxing) day, there’s nothing better than gathering for a meal or a cocktail and watching the sun set together.

Luxury Diving Holidays

Yacht charters offer an excellent way for people to incorporate diving into their holiday and the British Virgin Islands is one of the most popular destinations for diving. Some of the crewed yachts offer diving for certified guests and often the captain or 1st Mate is an expert certified diver able to take guests on guided dives.

Luxury Sailing

For all details regarding charter choices, itinerary options and prices, please call our Travel Consultants on 01244 897 999. However, we recommend this type of seven-night itinerary for families with active teenagers or children as it’s easy sailing, with one to three-hour passages – perfect for parents to enjoy some relaxation time. If you extend to nine or ten days, you could also visit Anegada, the only coral island in the chain, with miles of deserted virgin beaches, superb diving and snorkelling opportunities.

EXPLORE THE BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS
Day 1
Join your yacht at midday, at Village Cay Marina Tortola. Meet the crew and get settled on-board. After lunch, a two-hour sail brings you to Great Harbour on Peter Island, a spectacular anchorage for snorkelling.

Day 2 In the morning, after a swim, sail to Salt Island. Just off Salt Island is the famous Wreck of the Rhone that abounds with fish and is easy to snorkel. A short sail in the late afternoon brings you to Cooper Island where turtles can generally be seen.

Day 3 A two-hour sail brings you to Virgin Gorda. The historic rock formations below and above the water can be explored by sea or shore. Enjoy a barbecue lunch on one of the deserted beaches.

Day 4 The next day, sail into the North Sound of Virgin Gorda where a choice of beautiful bays for snorkelling, windsurfing and swimming await.

Day 5 This morning’s sail takes you to Sandy Cay or Green Cay where you’ll find small deserted cays and the perfect place for a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, drop anchor in Great Harbour or Little Harbour on Jost Van Dyke and visit one of the local bars.

Day 6 Jost Van Dyke is perfect for a good walk and the views are spectacular. You can anchor just inside the reefs and enjoy superb snorkelling. After which, enjoy a sunset sail to Cane Garden Bay on the north coast of Tortola.

Day 7 A three-hour sail will bring you to Norman Islands, thought to be the famous Treasure Island. The snorkelling here is outstanding and there are numerous different fish and corals to be seen.

Day 8 The last morning of your holiday, enjoy an early morning swim and snorkel before a two-hour sail brings you back to Road Town Harbour.
