The hotel has its own private ski instructor available exclusively to Thurnher's Alpenhof guests on a complimentary basis. The Trittkopf cable car is a short walk from the hotel. Zurs is an upmarket and exclusive ski resort forming part of the Arlberg ski area. Situated above 1500 metres, the snow quality is very good with access to 248 individual pistes. In total there are 6 black runs, 19 red, 25 blue and 4 green runs, as well as convenient nursery slopes next to the main village.
