The Strand is a small hotel conveniently located in the heart of Yangon. It captures a sense of the city’s Colonial heritage and opulence, from the marble floors with inlaid teak wood, to the chandeliers and its private collection of antiques and local art. Upon arrival, guests are welcomed with cold towels and drinks and are shown to their suite by the Butler for their floor. Suites have ceiling fans, teak flooring, a television and luxury bathroom. For the most stylish stay, choose the Strand Suite which has a private veranda and river views. Guests are ideally placed to visit Shwedagon Pagoda – a popular holy monument for visitors, the Sule Pagoda, the Chaukhtatgyi Reclining Buddha, Scott Market and the waterfront.
