Itineraries range from three to eleven nights, starting at the royal city of Mandalay, where the boat sails between the ancient capital of Bagan, in the south, and Bhamo, with its thriving market scene, in the north. Observe villages and cities as the lives of the Burmese people unfold before you; farmers ploughing fields with oxen and carts, children splashing about at the river’s edge, fishermen in their little boats, tradesmen transporting goods on bamboo rafts, not to mention some spectacular scenery, including forest-covered gorges and valleys dotted with monasteries and temples.

A typical day starts with a buffet breakfast, before a guided shore excursion to see some of Burma’s best attractions. If you prefer, you can hire a private Guide or a car and explore at leisure. Buffet lunches of regional dishes – alongside Thai, Indonesian, Chinese, Indian and European cuisine – and afternoon tea are served on-board during the day.

You can choose to fill your time by relaxing around the swimming pool on the top deck, sipping drinks in the Observation Lounge whilst taking in the views through the large windows, visiting the boutique, doing a mini work-out in the fitness room or enjoying a massage, facial or pedicure in the beauty area. There is also a hair wash and blow dry service, if you wish to indulge before dinner. In the evenings, guests can enjoy cocktails and live music in the piano bar, the entertainment in the lounge (which could be traditional dancing or a lecture about Burmese culture) or borrow a book or game to take back to their cabin.

In addition, the cruiser has a Medical Room with a Doctor on-board.
