Nearby are two of Dubai's world-famous golf clubs, the gold and spice souks, designer shopping malls, and opportunities for dune driving, falconry and desert safaris.  **Please note that from mid June 2010 the hotel plans to being building a further 152 rooms on 6 floors. Preparation for this constuction began 25 April 2010. Although the work is going to be partitioned off, disturbance will be unavoidable. The work is estimated to last up to two years. Work on the Palm Jumeirah can be seen from the hotel and grounds, but as it is situated 4 kilometres away, there is little to no, noise distrubance.**
