Leisure Facilities
Many guests come to The Oberoi Vanyavilâs simply to relax. The Oberoi Spa and Fitness Tent are the ideal places to do just that. The Spa is set over the lake, past turquoise and lapis-blue tiled pools, in a fountained courtyard. Here, you will find steam rooms, showers and private therapy suites. Guests can choose from an elaborate ‘menu’ of spa treatments, massages, facials, manicures and pedicures; for example, the stimulating Indian Spice Wrap and a delicious Orange Wrap. All the massage and aromatherapy treatments are aimed at relieving stress and promoting a deep sense of relaxation and wellbeing, perfect after an exciting day of tiger-spotting in the Reserve.
The hotel sits just five minutes away from the entrance to Ranthambhore National Park, a populated habitat for the elusive tiger. Private Jeep tours come highly recommended and provide good tiger-spotting opportunities, as well as many other animal encounters. Please be aware, there is a sixty-day notice period for Jeep tours, due to the park's access limitations, so you are well advised to contact the hotel before your departure. For days when Jeep tours are unsuitable, visit the seven-mile Ranthambhore Fort. Accessible only by stairs, it is surrounded by three lakes and sits high above sea-level.
The Oberoi Vanyavilas is located at Ranthambore Tiger Reserve, recognised for its variety of wildlife. In addition to the chance of viewing the tiger in its natural habitat, there are leopards, crocodiles, a variety of deer and even bears to see, while a number of watering holes attract a collection of migratory birds. Please be aware that the likelihood of seeing tigers can be seasonally influenced, so if this is a must-see, please schedule your stay carefully.
