The Governor’s Residence, located in the Embassy Quarter and operated by Orient-Express, is a Colonial-style mansion dating back to the 1920s and was once the residence of the ruler of Burma’s southern states. The gardens feature ceramic pools with floating lotus flowers and guests can take the views in from the opulent Mindon Lounge whilst sipping a refreshing glass of lemongrass juice. Guest rooms are decorated with cottons and silks and have a mini-bar, desk, sitting area, satellite television and complimentary internet connection, with either an inner courtyard, garden or pool view.
