Luxury Stowe Holidays
People have been visiting Stowe since the 1800’s but it wasn’t until 1933 that the first trails were cut on Stowe’s highest peak – Mount Mansfield. Offering 1339m of vertical top-to-bottom fall line skiing and 260 glorious inches of snow annually, Mount Mansfield offers chutes, steeps and powder shots for skiers and riders of all ages and abilities. As with many of the early ski resorts, the skiing is quite separate from the village. Stowe itself lies six miles from Mount Mansfield and is a quintessentially New England village. Here you’ll discover restaurants, shops and boutiques selling ski equipment, original artwork and local handicrafts – it’s charming enough that non-skiers can enjoy it as much as skiers.
