Travel back in time to the romance of the legendary era of sailing ships. At 360 feet long, Star Clipper offers more outdoor space than many conventional cruise ships. A four-mast, barkentine-rigged vessel with graceful lines, Star Clipper boasts a finely shaped hull, masts that are 206 feet tall and a rig that consists of sixteen sails. Breathtaking when under full sail, she relies on the wind about 80 percent of the time and a diesel engine in poor wind conditions. Featuring teak decks with two swimming pools, Star Clipper offers luxury-loving passengers a host of modern comforts and amenities including a water ski boat, sunfish, scuba and snorkel equipment, and eight Zodiac inflatable craft. There are no strict schedules but each day the Captain gives a daily briefing after which you can climb the main mast and help with the ropes and sails or lie in the netting at the front of the ship’s bow watching the wake stream along the sides of the ship.
