The Rocky Mountaineer offers everything you’d expect when imagining glamorous train travel through the Canadian Rockies; from the train’s locomotives chugging across soaring suspension bridges to friendships built amongst fellow guests, the Rocky Mountaineer  never fails to impress. Gracing the tracks with elegance and sophistication while slicing through scenery that is both enchanting and inspiring, three different itineraries including First Passage to the West, Journey through the Clouds and Rainforest Goldrush, detail the progress of the Canadian railway system, dating back to routes constructed over a century ago. Maintaining a romantic nostalgia the train glides through diverse mountain ranges, glacier-fed lakes, coastlines and canyons while offering exquisite cuisine and the very best of service.

Leisure Facilities

Luxury Hotel Experiences

Guests will be spending nine hours per day on-board the Rocky Mountaineer which provides invaluable time to observe the passing scenery and wildlife. There are no power sockets and little signal on-board, so laptops and mobile phones are not advised. You can however, organise extensions to your trip and extra sightseeing opportunities can be arranged.

Itineraries all have a duration of two days and travel across some of the most spectacular terrains in Canada. Voyage between Banff and Calgary while crossing the glorious Continental Divide or depart Vancouver and head towards Frasel Valley admiring the rocky waters at Hell’s Gate en route. Follow the Thompson River deep into the interior before arriving in Komloops or head towards Jasper - pass waterfalls, glaciers and the highest mountain in the Rockies, Mt. Robson. Alternatively you could venture towards the popular ski resort of Whistler and then traverse past Canadian farmland, high desert and the Canboo Plateau. Either way, you are guaranteed a formidable, often inspirational journey across the great plains of Canada.
