Little Makalolo is a small tented camp located in an area with good wildlife-viewing year-round, particularly buffalo and elephants, but also animals including rhinos, lions, hyenas, antelope, impalas, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards and many species of birds. Just in front of the camp is a watering hole where animals can be observed and there is also a log pile that acts as a hide for guests. Morning and evening game-drives in 4WD vehicles are the main attraction here, and guided walks are available too. Guest tents are comfortable and feature en suite washing and showering facilities, with one tent also boasting an outdoor bath, while wood furniture and rugs provide cosy touches.

Breakfast is taken around the camp fire, prior to your morning game-drive.

Following the game-drive, brunch/lunch is served.

In the evening, there is a dining area where dinner is laid out.

Safari Holidays

Guests can experience wildlife viewing with a combination of hiding out in the log pile in front of the camp, sitting at the raised deck area overlooking the watering hole, guided walks or day and evening safaris. Hwange National Park offers varied terrain - including woodlands, sandveld, scrub, grasslands and salt pans - and is, therefore, home to many animals including elephants, buffalos, rhinos, lions, zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, antelope, impala, wild dogs, mongooses, jackals, bushbabies, baboons, porcupines, aardwolfs and hippos. There are also many birds, including eagles, vultures, kites, beeeaters and storks.
