Inspired by the Buddhist colours of orange, red and gold, Liz Biden has perfectly captured the culture of Tibet by adorning the walls in wonderful murals which surround the king-size bed, an Oriental-inspired Persian rug and dark wood antique furniture with full-length, burnt orange silk curtains at the balcony windows. The theme continues in the bathroom, which boasts a roll top bath in the centre of the room, twin sinks and a chandelier.

Exotic, spacious and, perhaps, the most opulent of all the accommodation at La Residence, The Maharani Suite takes its inspiration from India, reflected in the crystal wall sconces, ornaments, pictures and furnishings throughout. At its heart, is a gloriously extravagant built-in bed with steps leading up to it and the ornate paddded headboard, while rugs and antique furniture, dressed in luxurious materials, stand atop a striking black and white chequerboard floor. Muted tones are accented by vibrant golden yellow silks. Enter the en suite mirrored bathroom to be met with rich reds and golds, an antique dressing table and chair, roll top Victorian bath, chandelier, Persian rugs atop the black and white marble floor, twin sinks and a walk-in shower. This suite features two balconies, one overlooking the pond and pool and the other facing out onto an olive grove and the mountains beyond.
