Transfer from Sydney to the Blue Mountains

In the morning, you'll be collected from Park Hyatt Sydney by 4x4 vehicle and transferred to the Emirates Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa. The journey takes approximately three hours and en route, you'll have the opportunity to stop at a viewing point in Katoomba to see the famous Three Sisters rock formation - a collection of nine-hundred-metre-high sandstone cliffs nestled in Jamison Valley. Alternatively, perhaps stop for a light lunch at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden, a 28-hectare public garden approximately 100 km west of Sydney, at Mount Tomah. The garden is heritage-listed and provides stunning views, of the blue-haze, over the Eucalyptus treetops.

New South Wales covers a vast area and is geographically diverse - it's also a great starting point on any itinerary. This region of bright blue skies and vivid red earth contains endless stretches of Pacific Coast beaches, lush countryside dotted with quirky towns, rugged cattle country; steamy rainforests and fast-flowing rivers zig-zagging their way through the mountains. Its most famous city is, of course, Sydney with its cosmopolitan atmosphere and vibrant nightlife, along with famous landmarks such as the Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. The region is also home to the picturesque Blue Mountains; the country's capital city, Canberra, while if you carry on towards the west, you'll eventually reach the graceful city of Melbourne. While you're in New South Wales, don't miss the opportunity to tour the enticing Hunter Valley wine district, sampling a few of the many world-class wines along the way!

Highlights

Enjoy the next three-nights in the luxury lodge, Emirates One&Only Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa set on the border of the spectacular Blue Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you're a lover of the outdoors and nature, you'll revel in the area's breathtaking natural scenery, and the outdoor pursuits available such as horse-riding, nature walks, wildlife safaris and opportunities to participate in playing a part in conserving the flora and fauna of Wolgan Valley, if you so wish. The valley is a wonderful place for children to discover and learn about nature, and families can enjoy mountain-biking, bush arts and crafts, archery, horse-riding and polaris rides, as well as learning about the Aboriginal history and culture. If you prefer to chill out, the lodge has a number of spaces conducive to doing just that. Relax by the pool, curl up by the fire with a glass of red wine, a platter of cheeses from the resort's cheese room and the latest bestseller in hand, or enjoy a treatment at the resort's Timeless Spa.
